Peacefully in the Freeman Hospital on 19th May 2026, aged 98 years. Joan beloved wife of the late Jack. Joan will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Thanks to the staff at the Freeman Hospital for all their care.

Friends please meet at Gosforth Parish Church of St Nicholas, Church Road, South Gosforth on Tuesday 2nd June at 1:15pm.

No flowers by request please, donations in lieu for the Church.

Dear Joan

Although we never met as children and have been separated throughout our lives, we share so much in common. We both ended up in happy marriages, we were both widowed many years ago, and have both depended on our faith to pull us through.

I thank you for the memories of the short times we spent together and for welcoming my children into your home. I am so pleased that we managed to keep in touch for so many years despite the difficulties.
